Multi Purpose Antifouling

Antifouling and water type !

My boat is based on a marina located on a large river with fresh water for 95% of the time, 5% of the time is spent on sea with salted water (week ends and holidays). It stays 2 months out of the water (winter time) then back on fresh water. The river is protected against salted water by a sluice to prevent water to be mixed together. I'm living on the French west Atlantic coast and not on the Mediterranean coast so the water is cold. Any experience or advice about antifouling type will be helpfull.

Hmm... I guess some of this will be dependent on what paints you have available in France. I'd recommend going with a co-polymer multi-season ablative paint though, since it will survive a two-month haulout, which most other paints will not. It also won't build up like a hard epoxy paint will.

A good example would be Interlux's Micron CSC Co-polymer ablative paint.
