Nice. I went yesterday on Lake Pontchartrain. Its quite an anomaly to have weather like on the gulf coast in early September.

Good old Lake Pontchartrain...fond memories for me. I remember sailing in the old Soup-bowl as a kid!

Actually its more of a shallow pie pan--it sure is a large and flat lake, plenty of room to wander for an inland body of water.

Really nice weather, except not very much wind...seems like it is always too much wind or not enough these days, drifiting at 3 knots not much fun...oh well, better than hurricanes..knock on wood...

Nice. Overnighted at Cat Island Saturday night. Near full moon. No wind Saturday until around 4pm. Sailed back and forth along N side until near dark. Motored to Cat Is., then to Ship Is. So much dredging and work on the east side I left and went back to N side Cat Is. Caught a 27" black tip shark about dark. Will be grilling him tonight! Wind picked up in the night, and I took advantage to sail back about 7am. (Although into the wind all the way...) Good thing, because by 10 it was bathtub calm again.

Beat working! Ha.
