Got our new US Yacht Cushions in the boat today. They are really fine.. Much better foam.. The Ultrasuede material feels fine.. I am really pleased with the workmanship from Bob and Marcie's company.. I like the new light color.. brightens up the interior from the old indigo blue.. and not sitting on those old buttons is very nice.. The other cushions were button tufted..

Hey, Steve.. no, the vee and aft cushions are pretty good and don't have those buttons.. I plan on putting a 1" sheet of memory foam in the sleep surface of those cushions to improve comfort.. Bob had the patterns; (they had made the new cushions for Hunter back then) we talked a bit to compare stuff then it was obvious they had the correct dimensions. The fabric, I bought myself .. it took 10 yards of Ultrasuede (the real stuff) @ $54 per yard.. The new foam and labor and the back mesh and zippers was about $1200.. The freight was another $85.. a smidge under $2K total for the main salon.. I really like the outcome. Dealing with Bob and Marcie was great.

This is what they did for us on our H'31. Very similar salon area. I think we paid about $900 for material & labor plus freight.

This was a sumbrella fabric. It is now about 10 years old and still looks like the day it was new.

There is a lot of difference in upolstery materials. Most fabric that is suitable for house hold furniture is not the best for boats. Even though some do not think that UV resistant material is NOT required, it really is. There are cheap materials and there are good materials. Much of the cost is in the labor, so you don't want to be doing this again too soon. The fabrics that US Yacht Cushions use are basically commercial type fabrics.
