The Cat 27 was disproportionally faster than the old 30. Good design. Only thing to add, if you can source one, would be the updated "Booth" rudder. Someone from a Catalina owners' site might have the contact info.
It will be a great move up in cruising room and speed from your 22. Which aux. engine will you have in it?
