Hello and good day sailors. Moving from 22' Catalina to a 27' Catalina. Can I take my fancy new tiller with me? Perhaps my 22 ' sails will fit too? Curious.

Some of the pictures of the 27 show a wheel instead of a tiller.

The Cat 27 was disproportionally faster than the old 30. Good design. Only thing to add, if you can source one, would be the updated "Booth" rudder. Someone from a Catalina owners' site might have the contact info.
It will be a great move up in cruising room and speed from your 22. Which aux. engine will you have in it?
Also, just noticed your reference to "Windycrest". If that's Windycrest Sailing Club, we used to their well-written article about racing philosophy in our beginning racing clinics in the 80's. (Distributed, with attribution, by the USYRU.)

Sails...….. no....
Tiller handle..... maybe, not likely... Catalina 27 has 6 in. drop. Item G in chart.
Catalina 22 has 4" rise item C in chart.
The difference is the tiller head (bracket)...….. a new tiller head from CatDirect $599.
