I have a 25' MacGregor in the water on Lake Grapevine in the DFW area and want to move it to a lake closer to my home. The problem is that I don't have a trailer, and have been unsuccessful in finding one to rent. I don't want to buy one since I would then need to find a place to store it once the boat is in the water. I am open to suggestions, and if someone in the DFW area would like to rent one out for a week (I also need to clean and paint the bottom), then I would appreciate a contact. A guy named Mark Yeager moved a boat for me from Grapevine to Arkansas. He was from Dallas. He used his own trailer-and repainted the bottom too. He used to sail a boat out of Scott's in Grapevine. Name of the boat was "Knockdown".

I have 22 on a trailer now and if I had a place to dock her for the time you need the trailer, we could probably work something out. I also have a friend with a trailer for a Catalina 22 that I could ask if he would be interested. Both of us live close to White Rock Lake.

Moving the Boat
I talked to a boat mover today and to move the trailerable sailboat, clean the bottom, and paint it would be $1,200! And that is just from the North side of the Metroplex to the Southside! One thought is to let someone use my slip while I get my boat moved using their trailer. Larry, if this would work for you, we could work something out.

Lake Grapevine
I'm responding to you privately as well. I have an O'Day 25 on Lake Grapevine, and my trailer sits unused most of the time. You didn't say if you have a swing keel or full keel. If it's a swing, I can work something out.
