Has anyone moved chainplates in against sides of coachroof like the 23 has. This certainly looks like the resulting closer sheeting angle would help pointing. The 23's seem to benefit from this. Any thoughts, anyone ?

Risky business...

I don't know that moving chain plates is necessarily a good idea structurally. I'm trusting that an engineer put them where they are for a reason... You could always sell your H22 and buy an H23?

don't do it...

for several reasons: 1) boat is not engineered for it, it could stress the mast or hull or both 2) devalues the boat for resale 3) you would have to replace the rigging so why not just buy a new boat?
