Hello all, we would more than love to have a Bimini on our boat,
The issue is that my boom stretches really far aft, very close to the backstay (about 1-2 foot)
I can without using the pig tail make the Bimini a bit higher than the boom, we have a boom kicker so the pig tail is mostly when installing the boom at the beginning of the season.
If I make the Bimini lower than the boom, the. The mainsheet is in the way.
So either make it a bit higher or move the bail about 8-12” from the aft section.
I would prefer making the Bimini over the boom, but I am aware it might cause issues when sailing
