moving a H26

I am moving a H26 and have to take the mast down. I have the manual but I still have a couple of questions

1. two poles came with the boat. do both go with the mast raising system?

thanks Alan! I guess the two poles go on corners. Also do I use the forestay for it? Also, do the shrouds stay attached through it all?

Just a word of caution and advice, re-read the manual on the connections. I'm not sure you have the basics, The gin pole does not attach to the forestay. Also, Alan provided a great video link for a Sirious 21, but it is very different than for an H-26. Shrouds do stay attached. You MUST use the 2 mast-raising bridles (baby stays) and attach to the sides of the mast to stabilize the mast while raising or lowering it. The H-26 has a single gin pole that inserts into a hole in the lower front of the mast. The other pole you have may be a stern mast crutch. Please don't think I'm being critical of your abilities, but a lot rides on getting it right. I've made some mistakes that almost cost me my mast (and more). BrianW

Each version seems to be slightly unique as the boat matured in its design but it's easy once you get it figured out for your model. We were stepping ours weekly at one point and got where it was a cinch. Be safe and take your time. It'll be the mistakes you make where you'll learn the best and remember the most. Hopefully they won't be too expensive but everybody has 'em.

One main tip from me would be to check the T fittings(if your ver. has them) on the top of the all stays at the mast to make sure they're seated right while raising the rig. I ended my stress by adding a pvc 2hole guide strap pop riveted near the head on each of mine. End of potential catastrophe.
