mousing line knot

I've seen a hundred videos on the subject but of course when I try to find them again I can't lol. I'm replacing my old depth and knot log transducers and for the life of me I can't remember which is the best knot to use to attach my mousing line to the old transducer wires. Would it be a rolling hitch?? Thanks.

I typically use a series of clove hitches covered with tape with the tape ends tapering to reduce snags.

Google "attach wire mule tape." Electricians do this everyday. Their methods are proven. Tape the whole length if the pull is snaggy, working from the wire end toward the string (important). Also, do NOT use nylon. The stretch will fight you.
