Mounting track on 26.5

Planning to mount a track on Hunter 26.5 for a genoa, spinnaker, etc. The main problem I see is that the track will either be too far outboard, or will run into the wash deflection made in deck, and not allow the track to be mounted far enough back (especially for a 155% genoa). I may have to use a wooden stand off to accomidate the wash deflection rise in the deck. Comments about problems associated with track mounting, bolting thru deck, etc. would be greatly appreciated, especially associated with the Hunter 26.5. Thanks, Chaos

Already installed on mine

My 1987 boat has two sets of tracks installed by previous owners. The first set runs from where the factory installed the original block back to near the end of the cabin. The second set starts about six inches further aft and slightly outboard and runs to just aft of the the jib/genoa winches. They are through bolted and backed with washers. The bolts, washers, and nuts make for some interestng patterns in the cabin ceiling and eventually I'll cover them with teak. I'll try to send you a couple of pictures this week-end when I check on the boat if you'll send me your e-mail address.
