The two speakers mounted in my cockpit cubby holes are buzzing so I bought two new speakers. The old speakers were not mounted very well. Just held in place with four screws and no enclosure. Anyone know a a source for a waterproof box to mount 5 1/4" speakers??? I have also thought about mounting the speakers in a short piece of plastic pipe. They are not visable from the cockpit. The new speakers are waterproof. Any ideals will be appreciated. If all else fails I guess I will mount the new speakers the sme as the old ones.
thanks

Make em yourself

Go to Wal-Mart or the local supermarket and buy a plastic food container that's the right size. Use it as a mold and make the boxes out of fiberglass cloth and resin. Once they're cured, just pop them out of the container and glass or glue them in place behind the speakers.

You might need a small drain hole at the bottom just in case so they don't fill up with water.
