Gents-

I need to replace my aging stern light. I would like to mount an Aqua Signal, series 41 stern light to my stern pushpit (1 inch diam). This particular light mounts from the rear of the case, and the wires enter the light from the rear of the case as well. I need to figure a way to attach the light to a piece of plastic and somehow attach the unit to the 1 inch rail. I have used the Snapit products and they have nice plastic mounting rings that snap on to a 1 inch rail, so I need to figure out how to mount the light on something and then use the snapit rings to attach to the pushpit.

Appreciate all suggestions.

Why can't you mount it on a fiberglass part of the boat and than no
wires hanging out.
But I guess every install different.

Have you looked at the Aqua Signal 25 series. They have a rail mount for the stern light.

The factory mounting for our stern light was a nice little Aquasignal bracket welded onto one side the stern rail. It always would shine across the rear laz. and was not so good for night vision.

Several years ago I removed it and had the hole filed with ss weld and polished out.

It now lives just below the radar on the back of the radar post. No more glare into the cockpit and it shows up better from astern.
If you have such a post, you might consider that change.
