I want to mount my GPI so that I can move it either inside or outside my cabin. I purchase a universal stand that has a ball that is screwed to the cabin. I was thinking about getting a second ball mount for the second location. My question is wiring. I can run wire out the hatch from inside but this would hinder me from closing the hatch in bad weather. Is there a way or do they make a water proof plug so that I could plug the unit in out side when I need to? I have a garmin chat plotter. Can’t remember model off hand
