Hello,The last article on saildrives poses a question (Justin). I have a '77 O'day 25 w/ an inboard engine. Just for peace of mind, I'm going to mount an outboard motor bracket bracket. The bracket I'm mounting is designed to accept the actual outboard bracket when needed. (I'm doing this for peace of mind. Should the inboard be out of commission for any reason, I'll be able to throw on the outboard and not miss any weekend sailing). My thoughts & question: I was going to drill holes into a very sturdy piece of plastic material, approx. 3/8" thick and larger than the actual bracket and reinforce the bracket with this plastic on the inside of the transom. Does this sound like it will work? Remember, this is only a backup for the inboard and hopefully won't be used much at all. Thanks for your response(s)!Rick"Tiny Dancer"
