Motor Mount

I purchased a Catalina 27 last fall and replaced the outboard with a Honda 9.9 four stroke. The outboard motor mount is standard Catalina, but has seen better days. I would like to replace it with something a little more heavy duty. I know Garlick makes a mount that is an option, but I'd like to know if there are other options available. Anybody have some advice?

I'm currently thinking of the same, althought my boat is equimpted with the petter diesel I happen to have two outboard motors in my garage doing nothing. Therefore I've decited to mount the9.8 mercury on my cat. Iv'e seen various mounts in boaters world and west marine. what I'm going to do is to start at the west marine dealer and inspect these mounts and hope to find someone that's had good luck with there's and then purchase one the same or very similar.this will be used as only auxilary power if the winds die and my motor fails and niether has happen yet. Bill(s),I have a Yamaha 9.9 four stroke and purchased the Garlick four stroke motormount from them. I had a lot of trouble with the mount and will be sending it back to be re-worked (at their request).I will let you know how that works out.Email me if you would like.pinkham@ctron.com-Tim Pinkham
