As anyone mounted an outboard motor hoist on their 34/35 stern pulpit? Curious where you found the railing mount and base fit the best.

Our friends just mounted a hoist on their Oday using the transom below the HIN since most other surfaces had gentle curves to them. They just crossed to the US so I can't get a picture for you. The hoist they used was a Garhaur and they did have access to the transom.

I think what the question is asking about is a small hoist/crane to lift an outboard off the dinghy and stow it clamped to the stern pulpit while towing dinghy or deflating if an inflatable. Not an outboard mounting bracket that is bolted to the transom to allow using an outboard to power the O'DAY 34/35. I've included a picture of one type of this lift, from Kato Marine.

Yes Sunbird is right. I should have been more precise. Looking to lift a 6 hp engine aboard not power the mother ship. The hoist is removable but needs a permant base bracket that I would like to make removable too.
