Bigger is not always better .... (my inner 13 year-old is trying to say something)
But trying to be serious... a displacement hull has a maximum speed that is 1.34 times the square of your water-line length. With your water line length of 20' your max hull speed is 6 kts.
So you need an O.B. that can push you at 6 kts at about 3/4 throttle. You want a little reserve for when you are pushing into a headwind. But there are serious down sides to hanging too much weight on the back of your transom. My recommendation is to get a smaller O.B. with a high thrust prop and a lower gear ratio.
I have a Tohatsu 6 on my Hunter 26 and I get hull speed at just a little over half throttle.
