Motor bracket

I am looking at replacing the motor bracket on a hunter 240. Just wondering if anyone has replaced one recently? And if so how they went about it? I was thinking or attempting to make it adjustable in order to get the leg of the engine which when in the upright position currently drags in the water.

There has been a lot of discussion on this. The first question when dragging, its the shat the extra long shaft? If so, it is too long and I would suggest talking with a dealer to see what it would cost to get a 20 shaft.

When putting an adjustable outboard motor bracket on, just remember you are adding weight to the area where the bracket attaches too and that is a must consideration. Anyway, look in the archives as this has been reviewed in the past which should give you some good responses.
