Mother's Day Celebration!

I took the Admiral out to dinner tonight with her two son's, daughters-in-laws and 2 grandkids.
It was a 2 hour wait, 3 martinis, 3 appetizers before she got gifts and hugs and...
1) Lobster
2) Snow Crab
3) Red Royal Shrimp
4) Clams
5) Mussels
6) Grilled oysters
7) New potatoes and corn on cob [New Orleans style]
One huge Dinner combo for 10, even though we were party of 8!

We told family stories and celebrated all three ladies [mothers] at the table, who meant so much to us and our lives.

1) The times they fixed our scrapes and cuts.
2) They showed love and care for us, while we grew up
3) Special Cakes for our birthdays.
4) Smiles at our successes and hugs/caring at our failures.
5) They made our lives so special by their influence
6) on and on and on!

Remembering mothers who have passed, but still are in our thoughts too!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the SBO Wives, Mothers, Admirals and crew.

PS: Of less importance but, we ate Dinner next Brett Farve and his mother and family too. In addition, the College Center for Terry Bradsaw all in the 2 tables.

Well said James. Much more laid back here. After 9:00 A.M. mass the skipper will treat the admiral to a home cooked champagne breakfast of egg fry with an assortment of fresh fruits, double chocolate muffins, coffee and her favorite champagne. Weather will resemble what we had today; sunny, warm and a light breeze. Our feast will be on our front porch south facing. Peachy keen, it will be.

My grandmother on my mom's side has been the most influential in my life. I am thankful for my mother who raised us free range. She was always there when I needed her, but my stern German grandmother and my mother instilled in me the basics of life.

I am very pleased for this thread to express the immense love and respect I have for my mother and for my children's mother and for her mother.

It is mothers who give us everything we need to become who we are. AND they manage to do all that while putting up the fathers.
