We must have different breeds down here. SSS doesn't even come close to affecting noseeums or mosquitos. I think they must enjoy the smell. Deet is the only thing that keeps them away. The stronger the better.

CRC makes an 'industrial' strength Deet repellant. you know, the brand that makes crc-656 spray lube? it works for sure. maximum amount of Deet allowed. i have only been able to buy it from a local wholesale marine parts place. Actually its Jerry's Marine. they have locations in FL.
