Original Molds
Where are the original molds? Apparently the molds were dumped into Tamp Bay when Morgan closed. This is what Robert Walker who worked at Morgan says. Rober Walker opened a company which now manufactors Rudders, and they offered to do a new mold and rudder for me for $2500. Which i don't think i can afford, but they do have molds for these morgan rudders if anyone is interested:Morgan 30Morgan 30/2Morgan 34Morgan 383/384Morgan 41Morgan 44Morgan 45I forget the name of the company, but they can be reached at: 352-529-1104. I still don't have a rudder, and an employee from the company that once was Morgan says that the shape of the rudder is very important for the movement through water. An inaccurate rudder could be a problem.Does anyone in the Sarasota Area have a rudder that is off the boat that I could make a mold of. I have access to a professional team of fiberglass technicians that could do the work with no harm to your rudder. let me know: z e r t _ I I @ y a h o o . c o m (subtract spaces)
