Within the next week or so I will be receiving a 1975 Morgan 28 O/I that was a salvaged yacht. If anybody has any links or know where I can find most of the interior as well as complete rudder it would be greatly appreciated.

Good Luck

Good luck with the M28oi. I am in the proccess of redoing an M33oi myself. The interior is pretty much up to you. Make patterns and cut bulkheads and make your own cabinets and such. As far as the rudder is concerned you might get the overall dims from another 28 owner or maybe try the morgan websits? Good luck with the project. The outisland series dont sail real well but they are built like tanks and have excellent interior vollume. Patrick

The boat is coming to me at the right price (free) but not having much luck tracking down another rudder. The original one snapped off I assume when the boat sunk during Hurricane Ivan.

Morgan Yachts are now owned by Catalina Yacts. I would call their customer service and parts department for help. They offer great service and parts on all Catalinas... new... used .. salvaged ...if you own one they will try to help you. I would hope when they took over the Morgan operation they also took their parts inventory. Good Luck. The number is on the website catalinayachts.com

I got real lucky finding hardware to hold my boom and thats all. I refit a 28 and it was all custom what I did. If you are redoing bulkheads and such I would seriously consider how many I am actually going to need to sleep. My 74 28 oi had way more bunks than I needed. I would consider a nav station and also room for a/c and generator if you don't need that many bunks. Not sure what kind of cruising you will be doing but they sleep 5 adults and 2 kids comfortbly, gets crowded with that many people on the boat, sleeping aside. As far as parts goes it sounds like lots of custom carpentry.
