I see that the site liked all the pic in one spot. Ops I thought I could only do one at a time. The wood used was oak plywood. We covered the endgrain with solid oak. This was done with glue and wood screws. The screws were set in and we made oak plugs so the screws were hid. Then three coats of stain and 4 coats of clear to seal it all up. I also added a cockpit shower, installed on the port side in the cubby hole. This was hard to cut in. But its neatly hid and has hot water as well!
