More Questions Re: 2 vs. 3 blade props

We have been considering changing our prop from 2 to 3 blade due in part to the heavy currents in our dock area. The boatyard that is currently doing maintenance on the boat feels that we may not be able to replace the 2 blade prop with a 3 blade due to the diameter of the shaft (7/8 ") on a Volvo 28 hp. Any comments or suggestions?

Our 370 has a 3 blade prop

Our 1991 370 with the Volvo 2003 28 hp motor has a 3 blade. Came from factory that way. Works great! 6knts at 2200 rpms. Over 7 knts at 3000 rpms. I will look through my paper work to see what the pitch is, if I do, I will write back with the information. Fair Winds Jack "Cabaret" Oceanis 370
