After owning my 1975 OD 22 for almost 1 month now and spending nearly every moment, awake and asleep, thinking about ways to refurbish and/or improve her and after spending part of that time scouring the internet--especially this site--looking for photos, diagrams and any other information I can find on the 22, it is quite apparent that there a great deal of us out there all doing the same kinds of things at one stage or another. It seems that there are some who are already quite advanced and experienced in their "OD 22-ness", almost certainly possessing a wealth of information and knowledge about this boat. I have enjoyed and appreciated all the kind responses and information supplied by many of you already. However, I would take this opportunity to publicly whine, plead, grovel and beg all of you to submit more photos of your boats to this forum--interior and exterior details, sections, areas, rigging and hardware--good and bad, so that those of us like me who are starving for references, examples and visual aids of how to restore/refurbish the old '22 might learn from your handiwork and/or well-kept, mint-condition classics. In particular, I personally would love to see photos of cabin and interior layouts, under cockpit areas (below lazerette and hull beneath cockpit floor), cockpit-led halyard layouts, electrical panel/battery setups, plumbing systems, etc.Show your boats and their secrets off to all of us--I really think we'd love to see 'em. When mine is better suited for photos (i.e., after I spend a few more thousand dollars on parts, repairs and improvements), I'll be proud to post my own photos...
