Sailors, I spent part of the weekend at my local sail club. One of our members was using Mop and Glo (floor wax) wax the sides of the hull on his dark blue boat. He used a scotch brite pad (red) and did some cleaning before applying the floor wax. In my opnion, the results were great. It restored much of the luster to his hull which had some oxidation. He was using this in place of a product called "poly glow". My question is: Has anyone had any experience with using common floor wax on the hull sides? How long can I expect it to last? Poly Glo vs Mop N Glo

Well, i'm not usre about the chemicals, but the two prodcuts sure do smell alike. I'd guess you'll easily get a season out of Mop N Glo. It's cheap to try, and if you don't like it, just wash it off.

UV Protection

I question whether Mop N Glo has any UV protection. Poly Glow does have it and won't yellow in the sun.
