I have a 1992 H28. This model does not have chocks, instead, the bow cleats are right on the edge. I have a mooring and am wondering what the best pennant configuration is. A friend suggested a spliced 'Y' bridal that come up from the mooring and splits out to each bow cleat. Each arm in the 'Y' would have a canvas or leather chafe guard. Is there a better way (two separate lines from the mooring)? What is the best length to use (I currently have 20 feet of 3/4" braided line)?

I use a "Y" on my h40.5
It also has the cleats on the edge. I use chafing guards where the pennants rub on the anchor. The advantage of a single Y instead of two separate lines is the no-tangle feature and the ease of getting both lines at one time. However some people like the two separate lines. 20 feet of line seems about right. That is what I have.
