Steve;I am in a very exposed Yatch Club on the North side of the Toms River. I have the keel all the way up and the rudder also. This seems to make the boat ride better and eliminates alot of the slapping noises I heard espically with the rudder down. However I seem to recall that the owners manual suggests that a centerboard boat not be moored but kept on it's trailer to reduce wear espically in my situation.
