I have a 2003 Hunter 426 Aft Cockpit slo. I have a dual bridle system. Unfortunately the bridle frequently wraps around my mooring ball, and it has to be "untangled" by hand. Any suggestions regarding the best size of the mooring buoy, and suggestions to prevent this from happening.
Thank you

I just learned this from our launch driver at our marina. He routinely un-wraps mooring pennants.

We have a couple of floats tied to the pennants about 4-5 feet out from the ball. But the real deal is to twist the pennants together and attach them to your bow cleats. I think the twisted pennant act as one unit and because they don't separate they are less likely to wrap.

Give it a try.

I find the pool noodle floats tied around the penants do a good job of keeping the lines from wrapping around te ball.

I too had this problem. Tried floats etc. tried noodles and had problem. The solution I found is to purchase noodles with a large inside ID. This allows the noodle to slide along the painter. Do not tape or tie the noodles to the painter. Remember the ID of the noodle must be bigger than to OD of the painter to allow it to slide. Took me years to find this simple solution. I purchased six noodles to insure I had an inventory but found the ones I initially purchased have lasted multiple seasons. Try this I know it works.
