I'm paying about $750 per season for my residents-only slip in one of the two town-owned marinas. My slip will accomodate a boat between 18ft and 21ft LOA. They have slips for smaller boats, and also some for larger. There's a waiting list and it takes longer the larger the boat. About 5 years to get mine. Dick

I am looking to move from my existing mooring to a slip. I have been looking in the Newport/Portsmouth section of RI. So far, it looks like it going to cost me between $4000 and $4500 per season for my Beneteau 331. There may be less expensive (and certainly more expensive) marinas in the state, but these prices seem to be fairly typical for the area. Hopefully, the convenience of a slip will make it worth it.
