Hello, We are looking for contacts and information for Ed Monk designed sailboats. Our boat is the 47' ketch which was built in 1973 at Skookum yard in Port Townsend WA. There were other lengths as well. On the architect's drawings there is the identifier "Tradewinds". There is a story about this "model". It seems that an airline pilot became interested in selling sailboats so he bought some plans from Monk and had Skookum yard build them. Apparently he was calling them "Tradewinds", not to be confused with the UK boat nor the asian boat. We've seen the book showing Monk's power boats but our focus is his sailboats.
