Peggie: I am new to boating and this is my first time to this site. I have just joined the Catalina 320 site also. I noticed some postings there on the Ultra 8. Can you tell me about the Ultra and a unit they mentioned on that site the Profile? I do not know anything about either. I do have the website for the Profile but won't post per rules. Go ahead and post the link to their site...no rules against that. As for the Ultra-8, it's one of the tank monitoring systems made by Snake River Electronics...an LCD system that can handle up to 8 tanks on the same system. A bit more than you need, I suspect. Snake River makes several systems--single tank, 2 tank, 4 tank. They're excellent products...one of 'em should be what you need. Aha...THAT's what the Profile is!
Dennis Ferriello was with Snake River Electronics as their national sales manager for decades...in fact, he put Snake River "on the map." Last year, he and Snake River came to a parting of ways...he's started his own company to make a competing line of products...I just didn't know what he named it (maybe I should have paid more attention to the details in his emails to me!). As you can see from the small number of hits (only 1188) to their website, the Profile hasn't been on the market very long...but everything I've come to know about Dennis in the 7 years I've known him indicates that anything he makes has to be a quality product. He's also always been HIGHLY responsive to email questions. So if you like the Profile monitoring systems, I don't think you can wrong with it. Btw...spammers have been hit these forums, so you don't want to include your email address in a public post. Instead, add yourself to the Catlina and sailboatowners.com member directories (just click on the "owner directory" button at the top of the page and follow the instructions)...other owners can email you from there without knowing your email address.

I emailed Dennis and like you said got a reply within hours. I told him about the post on this forum and he said to thank you for the kind words. He said there unit just hit the market this past 30 days. He also said there engineer is the same one he has been working with for years. New tank monitor
Wow, just talked to Dennis at Ferriello Sales LLC and have decided to install the 1-8 tank Profile Series monitor! He's was very helpful and seems to have a great product (good price also). I'll try to write up a description of the install with pictures. Great to be able to give a startup a helping hand, especially if they have a better product for less.
