Hi,
I have a mold problem and assume I'm not alone... The vinyl which is adhered to walls is turning moldy. At first it looks like theres a 1/8 paneling behind this; but now I suspect its just glued. Is steam cleaning an option? Or am I faced with ripping it out and perhaps installing new wood veneer panels to the cabin walls.
Any feedback would be welcome.

Normally 409 or Simple Green will get rid of the mold. But the adheriing you refer to sounds bad, did someone, a PO glue the cushions to the walls?

Bleach mixed 7:1 will remove mold and possibly staining. It will also inhibit new growth.

Looking forward, do you have a solar vent like a Nicro 1000 - that only runs in daylight to help keep the dampness down? It really helps to keep the insides fresher year round.

Hi guys, reading this post brings to mind a surface mold problem I seem to be having on the deck. Each year I have to pressure wash an area on the forward cabin surface of our 87 H 31. I use a bleach compound to clean as well as pressure wash, and then a good rinse of soap, but later in the season the mold seems to reappear. Any suggestions as to how to keep this from happening? Excuse me for jumping in here, but thought I would ask. Thanks

One of our members here said that bleach will not kill mold. He recomended Vineger which will kill it. I have had a problem with mold on my rub rails. Recently I coated the rails with vineger and let it dry, I came back later and used bleach to get rid of the stains. So far so good. Which did the trick? I havent got the faintest idea but I will use this method in the future.
