moisture under deck beneath teak toe rail both sid

I am in process of buying 1987 Pearson 31, surveyor has turn up moisture on deck beneath teak toe rails. Whaat are the problems little , big, cost of repair leave it alone or go look at other boats?With this problem would I get back what I paid for it.

Rich, did the surveyor say anything about delamination? Without seeing it is hard to determine the extent of the problem. Is the moisture running the length of the rail,or a small section of the rail? Does the deck feel soft? The only true way to understand the extent of the problem is a major undertaking of drilling holes etc. It can amount to a major problem and cost factor. Like anything else it is repairable. The decision comes with how much money you are willing to put into the boat.
