I removed a non-funtioning "Jesus" pump, that the previous owner had installed in the seat of my Gramp's cockpit, and found that he hadn't sealed the through bolts holding it in place. The core of the fiberglass was BROWN MUD as far back as I could scoop it out. I'll have to have the seat cut open, and a piece of plywood or something like that glued in place, and then putty the top back on.Ask your surveyor for an estimate of how expensive the repairs might be, and see if the seller will either have the repairs done, or deduct the cost from his asking price.As I understand it, to determine how extensive the damage is, your surveyor will have to drill small holes in ever widening circles around the affected areas, until he finds dry, solid core material.
