So, after months of looking for a trailer for my 25' O'Day.... today I finally bought one (triple axle). The owner tells me that the axles are from a mobile home setup and the tires are pretty well shot and need replacing. So....... my question is: anything special about mobile home axles??? Can I just buy a regular trailer tire and mount them on the 5 lug wheel?? Or??? What? The tires that are on the trailer are size: 8-14.5LT.... whatever the hell that means. Any tire folks out there?? Hi Ken, I just purchased a tri-axle myself. My main concern is that you have brakes. Not sure the weight of an Oday 25, however the information on these pages list the weight at just shy of 5,000 pounds, then you add the trailer. (Mine had no brakes, I wound up adding electric brakes to two axles.) All axles have a weight rating. Mine is 3,500 pounds an axle. The tires are ST rated which means "Special Trailer" and the rating for each is 1,750 pounds which matches the axle rating when you account for two of them. (Your trailer had "LT" tires which means, "Light Trailer".) Any tire store can convert the size. So...bottom line, find out the weight rating for the axles...then find tires that will be at least equal to the axle rating, and please make sure they are Special Trailer tires, not auto tires. (Auto tires have softer sidewalls.) Again, please make sure you have working brakes. Hope that helped. Jack Hart
