Mixing elbow question

Anyone know what this insulating material is that is wrapped around my mixing elbow? Am wondering what it is and where can I get it? Thanks!20200818_120146.jpg

Header tape, exhaust tape, etc. Any auto parts place will have it. Same as they use on hot rod cars. Some is resin impregnated and hardens when heated, I don't think that would be best here as you may have to removed it later to inspect or clean the elbow.

I searched Amazon for "Heat exhaust wrap" and a lot came up. Didn't see any aluminum coated but you may. Agree with removable for inspection. These elbows corrode from the inside and leak CO.

Guys it is not asbestos, these boats were made from 1999 to 2011 I believe and I seriously doubt Catalina wanted to deal with potential asbestos issues with it's work force.

Agree it's not asbestos. This elbow was created and installed in 2013 by my former, now retired mechanic. It is exhaust heat wrap of some sort. Thanks
