Hunter 170 Panic Stricken
Well, it is the time of year that we have our most enjoyable annual adventure. On Thursday, May 12 through Monday, May 16, we take our boats to Mission Bay, Dan Diego, Calif.  It is a beautiful location with wonderful weather.  There are hotels, camping at Campland, or if you are like me, staying on the boat, (in my boat tent), at a very calm anchorage.  Karen says, that it is very peaceful and plenty warm for her. http://www.sandiego.gov/lifeguards/beaches/mbay.shtml http://www.a-zsandiegobeaches.com/missionbay.htm HDASC would like to meet with any other Hunter 170 and h-216 owners that would like to come out for a sail.  It's fun to meet with new sailors.  You can recognize HDASC (Hunter Daysailors Association of Southern California) by our green and blue burgee. Campland facilities are excellent, with showers, restaurants, recreation, pool, jacuzzi, stores, child’s playgrounds, and private beach.  CSULB stays at Campland.  I would recommend reserving very early, as Campland fills up way ahead of time. http://www.campland.com/ For those of you that like the plush life, there are a number of great hotels right on Mission Bay. Some people stay for the entire weekend while others stay for a day or two.  We often have friends or family join us for an hour or two.  sometimes, friends may come down just to be picked up on the boat and taken to one of the great restaurants on the bay. For those of you that have not been, Karen and I would very much encourage you to come.
