Missing port light

I was just looking at the February issue of Mainsheet in the 310 section. There are pictures of three 310s on the same page and one has two port lights on the starboard side and the other two do not have the aft port light. I have hull number 118 and have two port lights on starboard. When did they make the change and why? Anyone know?

I believe somewhere around Hull 200. Mine is 282 and the aft starboard (In Hull) is not there. I believe it is because it is in the same area as were you stow the large salon table so you would not use it anyway.

I haven't used the cocktail table since the first year we had the boat. I have the larger table in the salon and the aft port light is a nice source of light in the aft berth. Plus I can use the shelf for other stuff. Not sure why they would remove it unless it was cost reduction in preparation for the 309 hull.

I love my cocktail table

I have used my regular table only a couple of times and one of those was across some cinder blocks on the dock to serve hors d'oeurves. But it is a bit nice to have the port light back there as you do get some more light even with the table stowed there.
