I have the on the mast, but never use it- certainly not worth the $ of a new one plus installing.

In contrast to Ron, I can't live without it. I'm not sure if you can find the tab alone, but the units don't last forever, so it might be worth replacing the whole thing anyway.

davefromoregon,

we replaced the windex on our B321 after 15 years of use. First time the mast came down as well. They are pretty cheap (about $30 as I recall) and well worth it.

There's nothing holding that tab on but friction. The first time a bird lands on it, it's gone. When you get your new one, glue the tabs on with crazy glue or epoxy. Or drill two holes in it and lock it on with a black wire tie. Leave the tail standing up on top, that might keep the birds off.
