missing cabin window

Somehow, the front 1/2 of my port cabin window fell into the water and was lost. I need to repair or replace the window. does anyone know of any spare windows from boats no longer in use or have an idea how to proceed?

Is this just a plexiglass/acrylic fixed portlight? If it is you should be able to have one made at a local plastics shop. You can trace the one on the other side and they should be able to fabricate it for you.

I do not know what they used to secure it in place, but DOW 795 is usually a great product for that purpose. You can also secure it with screws to hold it in place while the DOW cures. Then you should remove the screws and fill the screw holes with the DOW.

The fiberglass & acrylic will expand/contract at different rates and the acrylic can crack if you leave the screws in place.

thanks. it is a lexan window, with a complex bend and shape. it is about 18 inches high at one end and tapers to a point about 2 1/2 feet away

I also have an 8.0 A. My starboard window broke in half and now im stuck trying to figure out the best way to replace it. Someone recommended going to a local hardware store and they can cut windows out of plexiglass for your there.

Have you had any luck? Oh, and I'll buy your port window, lol.
