Thanks, I will look at that. Thinking of how I could fabricate an overhang maybe an inch out. Might could build a mold then fiberglass it.
Cleaning the carpet on the sides and ceiling is kicking my butt. Other than that I've thourouly enjoyed taking apart and cleaning.
Start refinishing wood this weekend

If you are struggling with stains on the carpet I can recommend a product called Folex. It is a surfactant, available at Walmart, HD, etc., and is very effective.

Outside on deck, I like the TOTAL BOAT GLEAM 2.0 VARNISH for it's ease application, flows well, no sanding between coats. I can put on 3-4 coats in a day. 1 hour apart. Sand the next morning and repeat.

Interior wood gets their HALCYON WATER-BASED MARINE VARNISH low VOC, same multi coat application no sanding. Same flow capabilities.

Best stuff I have used.

Bought some folex today. Gonna try tomorrow. Going to Bruinswick Tuesday to west marine. Looking for running rigging. There goes my savings

Hope the Folex brings joy. West Marine. Ugh. Talk about a mixed bag. Good luck.

Went to west marine. Had a fair amount of the items I needed. Depth finder price was in line. Everything else was 30% more. Didn't buy it but maybe that's the cost of looking and hands on items.

What's wrong with your current windows? If they're leaking they can most likely be resealed. If the plexi is shot, the easiest method is to attempt to use the original frame with new plexi

This stuff looks amazing when it dries. How long does it hold up?

I am going on 2 years and ready for some minor touch ups this spring. Not a total redu just the scratched or bruised spots. I'll rough of the surface and apply several over coats is my plan. I originally layered 8 coats. It is all about the prep.

Have no windows. Previous owner put smoked plexiglass on outside. Would look better had they got them lined up correctly.

Can anyone explain " the sink drains thru the keel, how would it drain just sitting still in the water."

Water seeks its own level. My sink drain is below the waterline. Water doesn't back up, even when the boat is heeled.

Just seemed the outside pressure would be greater. So when sitting still it wouldn't drain.
But I'm a Ga. Tech fan. Not a graduate.

It's a matter of where the pressure is greatest. Yes, the water will back up in the drain tube when it encounters the water at the bottom, but the weight of the water in the tube will soon overcome the relatively slight pressure at the outlet.

My keel boot sits in the middle of my boat and the top of the cavity of the boot is about 16 inches above the water line and there is a hole going through the top where the keel cable goes through for its operation. It's a cable but I wouldn't specifically call it rigging. If I had a sink with a hose attached to it then I could actually lead the hose from the sink through that same hole if I wanted to drain gray water from the sink overboard where it was allowed.

Yes, my internet has been down for the last 20 hours. Thinking of running a bildge line there.
Also, where does the battery sit? My cables run to about 4 ft from the stern of the boat. I'm thinking small 12volt closer to the center because I'm only running lights. Thoughts?

My battery box sits about 18 inches from the pivot point of the swing keel from previous owner.
