Got the thin walled shaft log repaired. Then of course I had to fix my own damn boo boo. When I had the new tube down over the old one, I needed to hold it centered. Used a small piece of thin wall PVC as a centering spacer. I cleaned out the G Flex before I inserted the little spacer, but flat forgot about it after insertion. You guess it. Had a fair sized bubble of epoxy inside the stinkin tube. So today spent most of the day with a half round file, getting my boo boo out. But the shaft log is repaired, and if I do say so, don't look half bad. That fiberglass exhaust tubing is good stuff, and as I said before not too expensive. Hopefully the attached pic will give you some idea of how hard this thing is to get to. Keep in mind that access is through a hole I cut in the quarter berth bulkhead. Also a pic, I hope, of where the rudder post comes through the hull, that was cracked in two places. Put some G Flex in the crack and squeezed it together with a C clamp. Will glass it up after it all sets up.
