ROSS, I'm not one of them.

I know people that do, but iunfortunately, I'm not one of them. If we didnt liveaboard, there is no way in hell, that i could maintain a 39 footer, both from a maintenance dollar standpoint, slip fees and time required for necessary maintenance. When you live aboard, its your home so its not difficult to want to spend money on it. And yes, i will probably work till the day I die. As a matter of fact, I'm at work now. Tony B

Well you could live the American Dream!!!

Buy a house and rent it for the cost of the mortgage. Pay at least 13 payments each year so the length of time to pay it off drops from 30 to 15 years. After 15 years the rent is an income stream that does not require your face to show up at a specific place and stay there 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. repeat till you have enough to live on Buy a boat somewhere in that 15 years and pay it off. Go sailing I discovered this (no I'm not that smart) when I was in the military and "had" to sell my home due to change in station orders. Well three of the other soldiers in the neighborhood had their homes foreclosed on and our home value was less than what we bought the home for. We where upside down in our home. The realator suggested that we just rent the home out and gave us a good property manager's phone number. 11 years later we still have a renter and no hassles. Be a long ranger not a lone ranger ;-)
