Any good solution to remove mildew from fabric hull liner?

Slimy Grimy

I had a dose of the dark stuff (as opposed to the white stuff) on my vinyl-type fabric on the walls of my vee & aft cabin.Wiping with an ordinary sponge and a solution of Slimy Grimy made it disappear. No apparent harm to the fabric.After a month of the boat closed and unused (damn rain), I do have some white stuff type of mildew on my wood, but the black has not returned.BTW, this stuff works great on the brown waterline stain. Spray it on and rinse it off - only light scrubbing is required.Rich

Try Bleach

Well last year we spent our first winter in the Northwest and guess what, we too had mildew. My wife cleaned the stuff with solution of bleach and water about a 15 or 20 : 1. It worked.

Hi David, we had the black mildew on several ...

places on our P-42 liner fabric. We used Soft Scrub that you get from most any grocery store. It also works great on removing stubborn gelcoat stains and/or marks. This was early last year and no black stuff has returned.Terry
