With the warmer weather this summer we have developed mildew in all of the storage areas that are under the water line. There is so much condensation that there is often a small bit of standing water in the bottom of these areas. I have cleane these areas up but the moisture problems still exist. Help!

Try some DampRid in thee areas. I believe that it is basically calcium cloride. They have some handy containers that make moisture collection easier to deal with. They make some that will hang in closets too. You may also want to remove the cushions from these areas and open the lockers. We leave a clip on 120vac fan going when we are not aboard to help circulate air too.

Try leaving a light bulb burning in the salon. I have used a 100 watt light bulb on and really seemes to help . Still might want to have some air moving around though. Happy sailing
