We just finished our 7th race from St Pete, Fl to Isla Mujeres (just off of Cancun). We finished first in class, 8th overall. After almost 40 years of beating this boat to death ocean racing (and me), I am retiring the old girl from anything over 200 miles. Actually the boat is fine. I am retiring me from long distance ocean racing. The boat won. With two artificial knees and crippled hands, I have had enough. Owning this boat for the last forty years has been a joy in my life. I hope the rest of you are enjoying the same ownership experience.

Blaise,
I greatly admire the person you just described as yourself. If I am lucky, I will be able to say something similar one day about my experience and dedication to my life. If I am very very lucky, I may get to meet you one day.
Congratulations on your win.
Keep sailing.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I would love to see pictures of your amazing boat.

Well done... You and the boat.
She could not have completed the trip without you.
All the best to you.
