Good news! I uncovered the boat today, and there are zero signs of mice. I checked every part of the boat and found nothing. Now I just need to get through the winter...

well, in that case, getting rid of and preventing mice is child's play.

our small rv had mice that got in thru the wiring chase and ate just about every dry food we foolishly left in the cupboard under the sink, shredded tea towels and kleenex, and generally made a mess, . the next year we cleaned out all food, put wire mesh to block them around all the wire chases, and put mothballs with lavender scent in a few places. no problem since...

Might want to check your wiring..

Anecdotally - rats got into a friends camper and caused a lot of damage to the wiring. If I remember correctly my friend's trip to Newfoundland was marred by electric problems from the rats.
