Miami Boat Show Lodging

Guys and Gals-

I am lookingg for recommendations for lodging for the Miami Show. Feb 11 thru 14. Trying to find the best compromise of price, safety, and cleanliness.

I normally stay in Ft. Lauderdale for the show, but considering trying to get into Miami.

I would like to be close to the on-water show sites, but that may not be feasible. Thoughts?

have you tried.... HOT WIRE.... on your I phone i got a room at the Crown Plaza in Wilmington Del for 56 a night and it was normally a 150 a night room ...hot wire buys a block of rooms and then passes on the discounts ...check it out

I'm learning as a look at reviews where NOT to stay. Many hotels discussed here before appear still way off-limits.

cheap, safe, close to bayside (downtown), and in high season. -good luck!

note: sail show is in miami, powerboats mostly miami beach.

miami beach is just across the causeway. maybe 15min.

I've done the show for the last 10 years; it's a work thing... I've just always stayed in Lauderdale. Thoughts about staying closer only come up this year as I am taking a larger crew to work a booth.

You might want to look into using the metro rail and commute from around dadeland shopping mall.

Metrorail is elevated commuter train... not sure how late it runs..

Nice clean modern rooms with DIRECTV HD in each room right off the causeway on A1A SouthBeach

well sorta maybe but i think in order for it to be a commercial i would have had to bust in with out being asked and do a sales pitch on them lol ...brings up the question when is a commercial not a commercial :D
