Merry Xmas!!

Hope all you sail trim forum ship mates have a nice Christmas and a good new year. For you mates in the colder climates - summer will be here before you know it and your boats will be back in the water. All except my Canadian friend Mr. Macdonald - he'll have to wait until July 1st (maybe, if he is lucky)!!! Not to rub it in, but a few years back in Long Beach, Ca I can remember sailing on Xmas day in a T shirt and seeing the snow on the mountains!!

Not to rub it in, he says! July 1st is not far off. I try real hard to put the boat in the lake by Father's Day so I can sail on the Summer Sailstice day that same week. It's the longest sailing day of the year, you know. Not to brag, but up here on July 1st it doesn't get dark until darn near 11PM!To keep me going, just yesterday I booked a 10-day charter in the BVIs for April 11th, on a Beneteau (Oceanis) 423. I have a crew of four women. (Not to brag)That reminds me, I need to throw a check in the mail to you for another copy of your book. Two of my BVI women crew also own a boat on the lake, and I've observed that they need your help! I'd offer you a berth on the 423 but we're full up. New Year to you, too. Shelter Bay is further south than Stillraining in LaConner, so not as much rain. I had plans to do a rendezvous with another skipper in Coupeville last weekend, but had a good blow slither through; decided to change the oil and filters on the Genset and main engines instead.Maybe a day sail after Christmas with my boys; hope so.Terry
